I’m over the moon with excitement to finally share that this GORGEOUS engagement session is in the latest Canadian edition of Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine. If you are unfamiliar with it, it is a publication that spans through western Canada and western U.S. This magazine features some of the most incredible wedding images I’ve ever seen, captured by incredibly talented photographers, and I can now say that my images are among them! Needless to say, it’s been tough keeping this one quiet! I’m so proud of this accomplishment. I promised myself late last year that I would put myself and my work out there and submit galleries for a chance to be featured in an online blog or to be published, and I’m beyond happy they chose to include this my first time submitting!
Engagement sessions are one of my favourites to do. If you’ve been with me for a while you’d know how I love to capture love. These sessions are the best way for me to get to know you as your wedding photographer. We need that connection and comfortability so that on the wedding day we can make magic happen.
About the session- you would have never guessed that as we drove out to Elbow Falls, the weather turned and we were under a huge downpour. When we met in the lot, in the comfort of our cars, we decided to give it 20 minutes and see if it would pass. And it did. And you know what? The sun came out and it was the most beautiful evening we could have asked for.
We chose this location as this is where Christian asked Tayla to marry him. Aside from it having incredible sentimental value to them both, it is such a beautiful location out in Kananaskis. We had the best time together, laughing and capturing the magic between them. They truly are such a perfect fit and I can’t wait for their wedding this July.
