Newborn sessions are always so special. Capturing this new chapter in your life is amazing. As we all know too well, time goes by too fast and baby’s don’t keep. They change and grow too fast. Documenting this new beginning is definitely worth the investment. I create a lifestyle session that is personal to you and your family. Being shot in your home, these sessions tell your story.

Growing with families is the best compliment I can receive as a photographer. It really means so much to me that time and time again you come back to me to capture your family. I have quite a few family’s that I am honoured to capture, and I could never thank you enough.

I met Jordan years ago when we both worked at a pub together. Over the years we have stayed in touch and I have had the chance to watch her become a beautiful mother. I have had the privilege of growing with her and capturing the family her and Stephen have created. With covid 19 being present still today, we were lucky to sneak this session in before the restrictions didn't allow us to.

Sweet London was such a good little guy for our session. One of the reasons I love newborns so much aside from the sheer cuteness overload & teeny tiny everything- is the way parents gaze at their baby. Its that look of wonder and joy and love and amazement all at once. These sessions spark such emotion and this family definitely opened up and shared it all with me.
The love this sweet family has for one another is very apparent and beautiful. The intimacy of these images speaks volumes to their deep bond. Another reason I love these sessions is because your fur babies are included as well. Usually the “first'“ born and so special to your family.

Siblings together is magical. The way they hold them and whisper to the newborn is really heartwarming to me and I love capturing it. It’s always a transitional time for the older kids, and including them and making them feel just as special is very important to me. Big sister Brooke was so proud of her little brother. She was a natural with him too.

These sessions are all about capturing the moment and details of these sweet baby’s. The love and dynamic of every family is so amazing to be in the presence of. And a word to the wise, these sessions will give you all the baby fever!

I can’t wait to be able to get back to these in home sessions. It has been a long few months and having to turn away so many sessions has been really tough. I’m hopeful to get back to them soon enough.

K+D Calgary Elopement

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Kristen & David's Calgary elopement this past September. What was originally supposed to be their wedding day, and postponed due to covid, was re planned as an elopement. These two have been together since high-school and they are such a perfect match. Our first time meeting I knew we'd get along so well as we have the same sense of humor, and had it not been for the freezing weather we had to endure outside (as indoor gatherings were restricted) we probably could have chatted for hours.


The day started at Hotel Le Germaine with Kristen and her mother. Even though they were eloping, and they are having a full wedding once life allows, we still did the traditional getting ready shots as this day was and is just as important. The bond this mother and daughter share is so beautiful, between all the laughter I loved capturing this special time for them.

Kristen and David opted for a first look - which I love. The moment the bride and groom see each other for the first time is so magical. The intimacy of a first look is so special and something that will be remembered forever.

After the emotional hello, we did their bridal portraits. It was super windy that day, with huge storm clouds and a little rain, but we just accepted it and incorporated it into our photos. We didn't have too much time, and definitely ended up being late, but their chemistry was unbelievable as they are magic together, and it was so worth it to try and maximize the little time we had.

Their ceremony was held in their backyard. A few decorations created the perfect backdrop and in front of their families (and fur babies) they exchanged the most heartfelt vows and said “I do”. Their vows were love letters filled with their devotion and promises to each other, which had everyone in tears. These two have the best time together, and just make you smile being in their presence.

Their elopement was simple, elegant & perfect. It was about the two of them becoming husband and wife. The intimacy of the entire day was so special and magical filled with all the emotions, one they will never forget. It was truly an honour to capture this day for them, and create these memories with them.

Kananaskis Engagement

Let me start off by saying these two are pure magic together. 
Their chemistry is undeniable and the way they connect is truly inspiring. Just imagine 2 characters from a Nicholas Sparks novel - that’s them. They are both so genuinely happy, funny, beautiful and engaging humans to be around. They said they were nervous, but I couldn’t sense anything, the way they moved together and fed off each other was enchanting. They definitely gave me life again after such a long hiatus with covid19. 

I was originally supposed to have a wedding on the day they had planned to get married, but due to covid19 it was pushed forward to next year, leaving me available to take on their day- which gave me the absolute pleasure of having the chance to meet these two.
We spent an evening shooting their engagement session in Kananaskis.
No matter how many times I go out there, I am always amazed with the landscape. I love the dramatic effect it creates as a backdrop for  images. We are so lucky to have such a picturesque place so close to home. 
The spot we went in particular is my favorite. It has many different looks in a short span. It begins on a tree lined path that leads to a grassy meadow that connects to the beach. So many different spots to shoot, and you bet we spent time in each one.

The mood was light, fun, and so playful. If you have had a session with me, you know that I chat the entire time… (sorry ;0 ) but it is such a great way to get to know you even more and build that comfort between you and my camera.

Even though the weather was overcast and threatening rain, we didn't care knowing we didn't have too many chances to do this session. After a little while, and already feeling like I'd captured more than enough for them, it indeed started raining. As the rain came down harder we decided to walk back and call it a day. As we got to our cars, the sun suddenly peeked out and the raindrops sparkled like diamonds as they came down. Naturally we turned around and continued -and it was absolutely worth it.

To say I enjoyed my time with them is an understatement. I loved how this session turned out, and DO NOT apologize for oversharing photos! It was truly an honour to capture their love on this day, as well as on their wedding day - which I'm still working on and can't wait to share!
